Explain the values of a good citizen.

-A good citizen is a patriotic to the country e.g. registering for freedom from hunger walk, helping
the country in times of war.
- One must take part in activities that foster national unity e.g. trade and shun
things that undermine national unity.
- A good citizen maintains and protects human dignity and dissuade others from engaging in acts that deprive others of their human dignity such as mob justice.
- A good citizen participates in the democratic processes e.g. taking part in election of
leaders or become candidates.
- A good citizen observes equity by respecting the interest of others irrespective of their gender, race, ethnicity, age etc.
- A good citizen respects social justice by protesting against land grabbing and
destruction of the environment.
- A good citizen respects inclusiveness in the society i.e. no member of the society
is ignored in making decisions.
- A good citizen respects human rights and fights for rights of the weak e.g. the
poor and marginalized in the society.
- He/she support the government by paying tax.
- He/she maintains high level of integrity in the society e.g. desists from corrupt activities and reporting those involved in it.
