- Extensive destruction of property through the British scorched earth policy of looting/destroying the Nandi properties.
-Alienation of Nandi land and they were pushed to reserves Which were overcrowded and unfertile.
- The Nandi warriors were recruited into the colonial police and used as mercenaries against other African communities.
- The Nandi became squatters on Europeans land and a source of cheap labour to the European settlers.
- The Nandi were separated from their Kipsigis cousins preventing them from any future alliances against the British.
- Disintegration of the Nandi military organization. They also lost their dignity as the fiercest community in Kenya.
