(a) Neurone.
- Large cell body that controls cell activities.
- Has many extensions i.e dendrites, axons and dendrons that receive and send
impulses from one part of the body to another.
- Has myelin sheath or medullated sheath which is fatty sheath that encloses the axon hence insulate the axon and impulses.
- Has Schwann cells that are in close contact with axon and they
secrete the myelin sheath.
- Myelin sheath has constrictions at intervals
